A Message from the Pastor

I can think of no greater, more pertinent message that a pastor could write in a format such as this than that which has already been written by the Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Ephesians (4:1-16).

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The purpose of this website is to provide a resource for the children of God that they might be better equipped for the ministry. This is not a message that is often heard in this day and age. Most groups or denominations of most every religion in the world have a priest, cleric, or leader who has been bestowed with the right and responsibility of ministering, and a laity whose main purpose it is to be present at appointed gatherings.

Not so in Christianity. Paul makes it clear in the text above that the leaders given by Christ are given for the purpose of building up believers that they might be able build up others also. In the body of Christ, every member is a crucial, life-and-love sustaining element upon whom others depend. Every member of the body is needed, and every member is to be mature or in the process of maturing spiritually according to the enabling of the Holy Spirit. None are called to remain childlike requiring a lifelong diet of the spiritual milk that first wetted their new born spiritual lips when they came to believe.
It is my most sincere prayer that each one that reads these words or listens to the recorded messages receives a true refreshing of the Spirit. I have never desired to be “just another minister” of “just another religion.” There are more than enough of those already and I do not wish to join the vast ranks of irrelevant religiosity.

I do not believe Christianity to be a religion. I believe it to be nothing less than the manifestation of the mystical body of Christ on earth. Jesus is the Head of the body, and we, as members of that body by spiritual birth through faith in Christ, are those living organisms through which He still ministers to a dying world. Each believer is called to fulfill the role to which they are assigned by the Spirit as He communicates the instructions of the Word of God. Christianity is the practice of being an actual part of the Almighty God. We are not and never will be God, but we are forever united with Him in Christ. We are no longer to be what we were, but to become what we are in Christ.

So I would encourage you, whoever you are, to open your heart to the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit and accept that God wholly desires that you would know life more fully, more deeply, more realistically than you have up until now. Don’t be deceived by religions or grow comfortable being ministered to like a helpless child. Jesus has brought the Light of Life into the world to free us from the darkness of ignorance regarding just who we are and why we are here. Give ear to Paul’s inspired words to the Ephesians.
